BÜF
Practice
BÜF was established in mid 2017. Our experience covers an extensive range of typologies at differing scales. With a portfolio of projects that include private and developer led housing, masterplanning, cultural projects, sensitive regeneration and listed historic buildings. We are a flexible design studio, preferring to work across all project stages from concept design to planning through to technical design and construction.
Approach
Our approach to design begins with a collective dialogue and client engagement, which is continued throughout the duration of any project. Our work is informed by a subtle approach to place and surroundings. Our architecture is unashamedly modern, but we are interested in how contemporary architecture can evolve, exist and harmonise with historical contexts such as our home city of London. We aspire to create architecture which is contemporary, beautiful and timeless.
People
Our London studio is led by principal Neil Ferries. Neil studied architecture at Glasgow School of Art and has gained extensive experience at some of the UK’s leading architectural practices, including Tony Fretton, NORD and Duggan Morris Architects.
